Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and reporter for news for WPDE-TV. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response in response to DUI cases in Charleston led to an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time in Charleston O'Dell worked as a anchor and investigative reporter at the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. O'Dell, in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's covered events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
