The date of her birth is March 29, 1985, in Roswell, New Mexico. Gerina Michelle was her maiden name. Gerina Stevenson was born to Mexican parents Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). Her parents are Mexican as well as American. Ever since she was young she's always been interested in participating in sport. Gerina began to play golf when she was just 15 years old. Gerina has graduated from Goddard High School. In high school, she won in the New Mexico golf state tournament. She also had her volleyball skills acknowledged at the national stage. She was a student at the University of Texas in 2003. In her final year, she took home every single tournament she competed in. During her undergraduate career she was crowned Conference USA individual champion player of the year, and was named UTEP Female Athlete Of The Year.
